Counseling across Oklahoma

Therapy for understanding, healing, and growth.

You’ve been asking yourself what your life would be like if you could live in a way that is truer to your personality, your values, and your spirit.

People I work with often report:

  • Being stuck in a painful cycle of reactivity: automatic responses of shame, guilt, and anger.

  • Signs of burnout: decreased energy, irritability, less interest in passions, lower productivity. Distress may have progressed to the point of anxiety and depression symptoms.

  • Actions not aligning with values, which leads to further self rejection.

  • Expectations from family, employment, or community are draining or overwhelming. Giving up parts of oneself in order to maintain relationships. Wish for acceptance from others, but at the same time, asking, “what’s wrong with me?”

  • Wondering what could make life more fulfilling. Dreams for how things could be feel far off. Feeling strongly about making a positive difference in the world, but wondering how to do that when the day to day is so difficult to manage.

Deep down there’s a part of you that wants:

  • To feel better.

  • To recognize and acknowledge your past and the suffering you’ve experienced.

  • To grow into new ways of being and facing life challenges.

  • To have the trust in the security of your relationships enough to be yourself.

  • To connect to something meaningful or greater than yourself.

Hi, I’m Lyndsay.

I am here to help you honor your self and your authentic way of living.

My practice strives to be a space where you won’t face the expectations that others have placed on you to be the person they want to see. You will have full agency over your decisions and actions. You will be able to show up as yourself.

I believe you hold the inner wisdom of what you need to live a fulfilling, meaningful life. You may have lost touch with that inner knowing. You just need help finding awareness of it and practice what it’s like to tap into it. I’m here to offer support, understanding, and tools to help with that process. And of course, as you heal and grow, you begin to feel better too. Learn more about me.

Specializing in helping people embrace their most authentic selves.

  • I utilize a trauma informed lens when working with people. What this means is that I ask “what happened to you?” instead of “what’s wrong with you?” Some people may not even recognize that they have had a traumatic experience while other people may be aware. Wherever you’re at, therapy with me is a safe space where you can explore your past, and if you choose, work towards healing and living in a way that is fulfilling and meaningful to you. I am trained in many interventions to address trauma.

  • I do not work from any religious frame-work, and I have experience working with people who are healing from religious trauma. I am a provider with the Secular Therapy Project.

  • I help people who have noticed that they are highly sensitive to sensory information, other peoples’ emotions, and their own emotional states. Often times these people experience their emotions as “too much,” or feel that their emotional intensity is a flaw or reflection that something is wrong.

  • I work with people who recognize they carry wounds which may have resulted from ancestors’ trauma or parents’ trauma. I help folx figure out how to heal these wounds and move forward with different practices in relating to others and the world than what they learned. This can result in a greater compassion and confidence in the self.

  • I have experience working with neurodivergent people. I am aware of the challenges that are a result of living in environments or with people that aren’t accepting and often are rejecting. I work with people who want to reduce the amount of stress related to these challenges in order to live more authentically and peacefully.

  • I am affirming of folx in the LGBTQS+ community. I also have training in how my practice can be affirming of trans and non-binary folx.

  • I believe that individual challenges and suffering are tied to injustice and oppression present in current society. Many of my clients find that exploring and addressing social justice issues are important to their well-being. I do not shy away from addressing topics like white supremacy and colonialism with clients.

  • I believe that plant medicines can be used ethically and responsibly to treat a variety of conditions. I am affirming and supportive of working with folx who use plant medicines. I welcome you to discuss the role of cannabis or other plant medicines in your healing and growing journey.

  • I am trained in offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy by the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. I currently offer Psychedelic Integration Therapy to those who have undergone psychedelic journeys. Whether you’ve had a positive, affirming experience or one that’s unsettling, please fill out my contact form and I will reach out to you with more information.
